11th & Bark was formed to make the Columbia Heights Dog Park an official city off-leash dog park. In 2018, we have the opportunity to do that.
But we need your help.
The Columbia Heights Dog Park is located on Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) property and WMATA may sell the land. We worked with Ward 1 Councilmember Brianne Nadeau to ensure that that the District included funds in its FY2019 budget to purchase the property and save the dog park.
The Columbia Heights Dog Park is in need of a lot of TLC. 11th & Bark continues to organize clean-up days, but we also want to make significant improvements to the space once the District purchases the land.
